13" (33 cm). Of all carved wood with dimensional sculpting, the doll features a one piece head with different faces carved and painted on each side, torso composed of two pieces of carved wood attached by block of wood at the waist, each torso side decorated with carved and painted harlequin designs, loosely jointed arms and legs with vivid yellow and red painted stripes. When pulled by attached strings the doll dances amusingly. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American,Pennsylvania,mid-19th century. Value Points: very rare and superbly preserved American folk doll.
