19" (48 cm). Carved wooden socket head with well- defined carved hair in center-part with comb- marked details of loose braids drawn behind the head and captured over a carved pink bow,carved intaglio eyes with white eyedots, heavily lidded eyes with black upper eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips, all wooden spring-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, nose tip rub. Marks: Schoenhut Doll pat. Jan.11-USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1915,model 102. Value Points: very appealing face and definition of carved hair, fine original painting, wearing antique nursing costume that appears original (except replaced shoes and socks).
