17" (43 cm). Molded rubber shoulder head with sculpted short black hair decorated with flowers and leaves at the side, painted creamy complexion, painted facial features, large brown outlined eyes, tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, shaded lips and cheeks, hand- made stitch-jointed muslin body, early (frail) cotton costume, undergarments and slippers. Condition: good, some craquelure age lines and typical rubs. Comments: circa 1860. Value Points: rare early doll with unusual hair ornamentation.
