Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pierced ears, original blonde mohair wig in long braids over cork pate, peg-jointed bisque elongated arms with neatly sculpted fingers and distinct thumb, peg-jointed side-hip legs with shapely sculpting, defined knees, bare feet. Condition: head cracked in five places, restoration to back torso, the doll is sold as is. Marks: G (head, torso, and top of each arm and leg). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880,one of only two doll models completely made by the Gaultier firm. Value Points: extremely rare signed all-bisque authenticating the line of mignonettes advertised by that firm, with fully signed and matched parts.
