18" (46 cm). All cloth doll with pressed-sculpted facial features, oil-painted complexion, hair and facial features, brown shaded hair with center- part and double ringlet curls in front of each ear, stitched ears, shaded green eyes with large black pupils, eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with primly set eyes, blushed cheeks, stitch-jointed body, oil painted lower limbs with separated thumb. Condition: very good, original finish, nose rub, characteristic craquelure on oil painting. Comments: Izannah Walker, circa 1875. Value Points: keynote American doll with beautifully oil-painted features, rarer ringlet curls, original costume.
