A wooden trunk with domed top, leather cover and brass stud decorations is lined on the interior with early broadsides, and has a small collection of early dolls: tiny peg-wooden in glass-front box; black cloth doll with stitched features; early carton lady with faux-body; stretched cloth over wooden doll with painted features; paper mache known as "milliner's model" with beehive coiffure and kid body; carved wooden doll with pincushion skirt and original costume having note on base "poupee francaise 1850"; and English style wooden doll with one piece wooden head and upper torso, cloth lower torso, arms and legs, painted features. Condition: fair to very good. Comments: early to mid 19th century. Value Points: a wonderful collection of "attic found" early dolls.
