Description

17" (43 cm). Porcelain shoulder head with slightly pink tinted complexion, painted blue eyes in upward glancing expression, thick black upper eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over lambs wool cap and cork pate, all- wooden fully articulated body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and ball- jointed elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (original Huret stamp on kid torso cover). Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1860. Value Points: the beautiful doll with lustrous patina wears original costume of brown homespun with richly appliqued soutache, undergarments, leather boots signed C.C.
