16" (40 cm). Bisque shoulder head with plumply shaped face, painted facial features, pale blue painted eyes with darker blue outer rims, black pupils gazing upward, heavily modeled eyelids with thick black eyeliner, painted lashes and arched brows, glazed highlights on lower eye rims, unpierced ears, closed mouth with accented lips, wheat blonde lambs-wool wig over cork pate, blown leather body with jointing at the shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Poupee Brevete SGDG (green stamp on front torso). Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1860,with rare hollowed blown leather body by Clement. Value Points: very beautiful dreamy-eyed Huret poupee has wonderful painting of facial features and complexion, rare body, wears original winter white ensemble with black soutache trim, straw bonnet with feathered trim, undergarments, leather heeled boots.
