16" (40 cm). Bisque socket head, brown glass jewel inset eyes, painted brown lashes, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and accented lips, four porcelain teeth, flocked brunette hair under attached paper mache helmet with original blue paint and brown band, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 237 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1917. Value Points: all original condition, the character doll wears original military costume of French WWI soldier including helmet, ribbons and trim, striped trousers, shoes, belted long coat.
