Description
4 1/2" (11 cm). Porcelain shoulder head with slight pink tinting, black sculpted hair with long ringlet curls at sides of face, coiled topknot braid from which cascade two long lavender ribbons onto the back of head, painted facial features, brilliant blue eyes, closed mouth, painted low-necked bodice with magenta and gold borders, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower limbs, painted black flat shoes, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: superb painting on the tiny porcelain doll with very rare coiffure and hair decorations.
