17" (45 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate grey glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid fashion body with shapely torso, gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head and shoulder plate). Comments: attributed to Jumeau, circa 1875. Value Points: superb store- fresh condition, the doll has lovely bisque, very sturdy body, elaborate original folklore costume of Normandy including silk cap over lace coiffe with wig arranged in large rolled curls in traditional style, leather boots signed C.C.
