Description
9" (23 cm.) Each has felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, blue or brown side-glancing eyes, "O"-shaped mouth, wearing original costume including Tyrolean-style boy with basket of felt flowers, with original silk and paper label marked "48"; and Italian-style boy with wooden pipe, with original silk and paper label marked "32". Condition: generally excellent. Marks: cloth and paper Lenci labels on each. Comments: Italian, Lenci, circa 1935. Value Points: important provenance from the childhood collection of Shirley Temple, presented in "Love, Shirley Temple" auction of 2015, along with Certificate of Authenticity.
