22" (56 cm). All-cloth doll with stockinette pressed and oil-painted facial features, brilliant large blue eyes framed by thick black lashes and eyeliner, short fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, painted brown hair with shaded swirls of curls, stitched on ears, muslin body, oil-painted stitch-jointed limbs, painted blue ankle boots, antique dress and undergarments. CONDITION: generally excellent, slight craquelure, toes worn. COMMENTS: "Alabama Baby" by Ella Smith, circa 1910. VALUE POINTS: artitic painting of facial features and hair.
