13" (33 cm). Poured wax shoulder head with tiny black enamel eyes, painted upper lashes and brows, closed mouth with primly set lips, brunette wig under cap, early muslin stitch- jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1840. Value Points: the perfectly preserved beautiful doll wears her original peddlar costume including red cap, black cambric gown and bonnet, pinafore, undergarments, leather shoes, and carries woven basket fitted with tiny miniature notions. The doll is preserved under a glass dome.
