Description
14" (36 cm.) Solid-domed bisque socket head, painted brown boyish hair, blue glass eyes with deep jewel-like effect, painted lashes and one-stroke brows, slightly-parted lips with row of porcelain teeth, French composition and wooden body jointed at shoulders and hips. Condition: bisque excellent, body original, some body wear, missing one finger. Marks: 237 0 (head) Brevere SGDG (body). Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: fine quality of bisque enhanced by rich eyes, wearing navy blue wool nautical suit, saddle shoes, and carrying toy boat.
