Description
20" (51 cm). Solid domed bisque shoulderhead of
plump-faced boy, blonde sculpted hair in short
boyish fashion, narrow blue squinting eyes, white
eyedots, black and incised upper eyeliner, short
brows, tiny nose, closed mouth in smiling
expression with defined tongue tip, leatherette
body, composition and wooden ball-jointed arms.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7644
Heubach (sunburst) Germany. Comments: Gebruder
Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: rare model
with unusual very plump face that emphasizes the
laughter lines and dimples of cheeks, eyes and
chin. The doll appears in "Heubach Character
Dolls and Figurines" by Lydia Richter, page 57.
