Bisque socket-head with alternate faces on front and back portraying laughing and crying faces; the laughing face with wide blue paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, painted teeth and tongue; the smiling face a duplicate to #351 of this catalog with squinting eyes, "O" shaped closed mouth; the faces pivot on turn- screw at top of head, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: bisque excellent, body not original but appropriately sized. Marks: 7 (bottom neck socket of each face). Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912, inspired by the 200 character series produced by Jumeau in the 1890's. Value Points: rare faces with vivid expression, excellent bisque.
