Description
17" (43 cm). Solid domed bisque socket-head with
unusual head shaping, painted light blonde boyish
hair, prominent ears, very plump cheeks and chin,
small intaglio blue painted eyes with white
eyedots, short feathered brows, accented
nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, defined
space between the lips, composition and wooden
ball-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 7744 Heubach (sunburst)
Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912.
Value Points: rare model with exceptional quality
of sculpting including an abundance of impressed
dimples around the mouth and eyes, rounded nose,
wearing antique folklore costume.
