17" (43 cm). Black cotton sateen doll with flat
dimensional facial features except stitch-shaped
little nose, black tightly fleeced hair, white
pearl button eyes with stitched outline, stitched
nostril dots and mouth, brown sateen torso and
upper limbs, black lower limbs. Condition:
generally excellent. Comments: American, late
19th century. Value Points: neatly constructed
black folk doll is well preserved, has original
cotton striped dress, apron, undergarments.
