Description
16" (40 cm). Pink-tinted bisque socket-head,
sculpted short brown tousled curly hair with
large bisque pink bow, intaglio blue eyes with
prominent black pupils and white eyedots,
black and incised eyeliner, short feathered
brows, accented nostrils and eye corners,
closed mouth modeled as though open,
shaded lips, composition and wooden
ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: 7764 Heubach
(sunburst mark) Germany. Comments:
Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, the doll is
known as "Singing Heubach" in reference to
her mouth sculpture. Value Points:
outstanding detail of sculpting of hair and
facial features of the rare doll, finest bisque
and painting.
