Description
19" (48 cm). Pink tinted bisque shoulder head with solid dome, lightly tinted blonde hair in boyish fashion, pale blue intaglio eyes with prominent black pupils, black and incised eyeliner, white eyedots, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though open with well-defined tongue, shaded lips, kid body with gusset jointing, composition and wooden ball-jointed arms, antique sailor costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7580 6 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1910. Value Points: rare and unusual facial model, choice bisque and painting. The doll appears in "Heubach Character Dolls and Figurines" by Lydia Richter, page 52.
