All wooden doll with carved socket head, carved hair in soft curled shaded brown bob accented with a blue hair bow, intaglio brown eyes, white eye dots, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, row of painted teeth, all-wooden spring-jointed body, vintage cotton dress. Condition: generally excellent, tiny touch-up on nose. Comments: Schoenhut, model 101, circa 1917, re-issue of first period character doll, this example having fine smoother hair and complexion. Value Points: wonderful smiling expression with definition of cheek dimples.
