13" (33 cm). Bisque socket-head small brown
glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short
feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed
mouth with beaming smile, very slightly parted
lips with shaded detail, three tiny upper teeth,
impressed cheek dimples, auburn mohair
wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed
body, antique costume. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 8244 Heubach (square)
Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,
circa 1915. Value Points: captivating cheerful
expression on the rare model with wonderfully
sculpted dimples. The doll appeared in
"Heubach Character Dolls and Figurines" by
Lydia Richter, page 76.
