Description
17" (43 cm). Solid domed bisque socket-head with
pink tinting, blonde painted boyish hair,
intaglio blue eyes with large black pupils, red
and black upper eyeliner, feathered brows,
accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth
with shaded and accented lips, composition and
wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in
flannel boy's suit with white pique collar and
cuffs, leather satchel and shoes. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst)
7603 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa
1915. Value Points: well-modeled features
enhanced by impressed dimples on chin and lip
corners, fine quality of bisque and painting. The
doll appears in "Heubach Character Dolls and
Figurines" by Lydia Richter.
