15" (38 cm). Bisque socket-head with flattened solid dome, high forehead, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 8 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful long-faced modeling enhanced by deeply sculpted cheeks and chin, choice bisque, original body and body finish.
