17" (43 cm). Bisque socket-head, blue glass sleep
eyes, painted lashes, incised eyeliner, short
feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye
corners, open mouth, shaded and outlined lips,
two porcelain lower teeth, deeply impressed
dimples at lip corners and cheeks, blonde fleeced
hair over plaster pate, composition bent-limb
baby body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
K made in Germany 14 JDK 211. Comments: Kestner,
circa 1912. Value Points: fine unplayed with
condition of the fleeced-haired baby with choice
bisque and well detailed sculpting of face and
body.
