Description
7" (18 cm). Pink-tinted bisque socket-head with
blonde painted boyish hair, painted facial
features, tiny blue eyes with white eyedots, one
stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth
with accent line between the pouty lips,
composition torso with primitive clockwork
mechanism, composition one-piece arms and legs.
When wound, the doll totters from side to side as
though learning to walk. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Heubach (sunburst) Germany.
Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value
Points: all-original condition of the amusing
novelty doll, mechanism functions well, original
fleeced costume. The doll appeared in "Heubach
Character Dolls and Figurines" by Lydia Richter,
page 109.
