14" (35 cm). Bisque socket-head with portrait-
like features, blue glass enamel inset eyes,
painted lashes, brushstroked brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed
mouth, mohair wig, moustache and beard,
carton torso and legs, wooden hands.
Condition: generally excellent, old
hairline at back of head. Marks: 1. Comments:
French, circa 1870. Value Points: portrait-like
face and original presentation on
velvet-covered wooden base, original suit of
armor with chain
link sleeves, and trim, removable helmet.
