Description
16" (40 cm). Pink tinted bisque socket-head, light brown sculpted hair waved across the forehead in short boyish fashion, sculpted ears, narrow blue intaglio eyes glancing to the right, deeply sculpted eye sockets, brush stroked brows, closed mouth modeled as though open with shaded lips, suggestion of tongue, impressed dimples at cheeks and corners of mouth, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7911 Heubach (square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: wonderfully expressive features on the dimpled cheerful faced lad, choice bisque and painting.
