Description
13" (33 cm). Solid domed bisque socket-head
with pink tinted bisque, blonde painted hair,
intaglio blue eyes with prominent black pupils,
white eyedots, black and incised eyeliner,
short feathered brows, accented nostrils and
eye corners, closed mouth with center accent
line, composition bent-limb baby body.
Condition: generally excellent, finish on hands
is original but well scuffed. Marks: 6 6895
Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,
circa 1912. Value Points: side-glancing baby
with fine bisque and painting wears elaborate
antique taufling costume. The doll appears in
"Heubach Character Dolls and Figurines" by
Lydia Richter, page 38.
