Description
14" (35 cm). Solid domed bisque socket-head with
painted brown boyish hair, modeled ears, painted
very tiny eyes in squinting shape with defined
upper eyeliner and tiny eyedots, one stroke
brows, upturned nose, closed mouth modeled as
though open with crooked crying expression,
shaded lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed
body, antique costume. Condition: generally
excellent, one finger broken. Marks: 7761 Heubach
(square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,
circa 1915. Value Points: exceptional quality of
sculpting on the imaginatively designed doll,
choice bisque and painting enhance the design.
