Description

12" (30 cm). Bisque socket-head, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, rose blushed eyeshadow, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden early body with attached ball-joints at hips and knees, loose ball joints at shoulders and elbows, straight wrists, nicely costumed. Condition: faint early hairline at back of head, otherwise excellent. Marks: 7. Comments: Kestner, the model closely resembles the French bebe A.T. by Thuillier, circa 1885. Value Points: rare petite child doll with beautifully painted features on fine quality of bisque, original body and body finish.
