Description
22" (56 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head,
painted light brown boyish hair with forelock
detail, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, brown
painted lashes with incised eyeliner, one stroke
angled brows, accented nostrils and eye corners,
closed mouth modeled as though open, shaded lips
with decorative glaze highlights, French
composition and wooden fully jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 226
Paris 8. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value
Points: rarer model with outstanding quality of
sculpting, deeply impressed cheek and eye
dimples, outstanding original Scottish costume
with elaborate detail.
