19" (48 cm). Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep
eyes, painted lower lashes with dot highlights,
mohair lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils
and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and
outlined lips, two modeled teeth and tongue tip,
blonde mohair wig over original pate, French
composition and wooden fully jointed toddler body
with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: SFBJ 236 Paris. Comments: SFBJ,
circa 1912. Value Points: in pristine unplayed
condition, wearing original muslin chemise and
leather shoes, original wig and mohair lashes,
the doll has its original paper label "Je Suis
Francais" and is presented in its original box
with colorful label "Le Bebe a Tete Caractere"
and illustration of the doll.
