Description
26" (66 cm). Bisque socket head, large brown
glass sleep eyes based upon Jumeau depose of
1895, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut, painted
lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils,
open mouth, shaded and accented lips, row of
porcelain teeth, pierced ears, brunette human
hair over cork pate, French composition and
wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally
excellent, few paint flakes on original body
finish. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau 12 (head, and
artist's checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau,
circa 1895. Value Points: lovely bisque and
painting, wonderful antique costume features
whitewear lace-edged dress under cotton pique
pinafore bib with amusing scene of children.
