Description
12" (30 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset
eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accented
lips, ears pierced into head, blonde mohair wig
over cork pate, all wooden articulated body with
shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders,
elbows, hips and knees, cupped hands. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: 0 (head). Comments:
Barrois, possibly for Bru, circa 1870. Value
Points: rare petite size, wooden body, wearing
ivory satin wedding gown and lace veil, and
presented in antique doll trunk along with four
additional ensembles, each with matching bonnet,
and a variety of further accessories and
accoutrements.
