Description
24" (61 cm). Pressed bisque socket head with
deeply modeled features, brown glass paperweight
inset eyes with spiral threading and prominent
pupils, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets,
lushly painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow,
brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented
eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with
shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimples at
lip corners and chin, separately modeled pierced
ears, antique brunette hand-tied human hair wig
over cork pate, early Jumeau composition and
wooden body with eight loose-ball-joints,
straight wrist, lovely antique costume with
torchon lace trim and embroidery, ruffled bonnet,
undergarments, Jumeau socks and signed shoes.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E.

Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau, circa 1885, the model was made for one or
two years only. Value Points: rare large size of
the deposed E.J. model has superb detail of
modeling and bisque, outstanding painting,
original body and body finish.
