Description
Sized for petite adult person or large doll, the
costume is of purple-berry silk comprising knee-
length pouf pants of silk alternating with black
velvet, matching jacket with lace jabot and
cuffs, matching black velvet and purple silk cape
with brass hooks for cascading from shoulders,
lavish black velvet cap with gold band and purple
feather (lined in blue cotton sateen). French,
circa 1885. Fabulous early costume of luxury
construction in perfectly preserved condition.
