Description
17" (43 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged
bisque shoulderplate, light blonde/brown sculpted
hair arranged in elaborate curls and tucked
behind the pierced ears, with tiny curls falling
over modeled head band, blue glass inset eyes,
dark eyeliner painted lashes, feathered brows,
accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth
with outlined lips, muslin body, bisque lower
limbs with painted grey boots, antique gown and
apron with velvet ribbon banding, undergarments.
Condition: generally excellent, one leg restored.
Comments: attributed to Simon and Halbig, circa
1870. Value Points: rare early doll with swivel
head, glass eyes, very elaborate coiffure.
