28" (71 cm). Bisque socket head, large dark blue
glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner
encircles the eyecuts, painted lashes, thick
brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined
lips, two rows of tiny teeth, pierced ears,
brunette human hair over cork pate, French
composition and wooden fully jointed body,
antique costume comprising lace-trimmed white
dimity dress, undergarments, leather shoes,
stockings, beautiful lace bonnet. Condition:
generally excellent, some body wear on torso and
lower legs. Marks: 11 F.G. (scroll). Comments:
Gaultier Freres, circa 1886. Value Points: the
beautiful pale bisque is complemented by fine
umber blush on eyelids, cheeks and dimpled chin,
beautiful tiny teeth showing between slightly
parted lips.
