17" (43 cm). Pale bisque shoulderhead with plumply shaped rounded facial model, heavily modeled eyelids with thick black upper eyeliner, painted upper and lower lashes, arched feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, unpierced ears, blonde fleecy wig with attached earrings over cork pate, kid-over-wooden body with dowel-jointing, bisque forearms and lower legs with bisque bare feet, sculpted toe and finger nails, antique silk/woolen plaid gown, undergarments, pressed felt bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, minor finger restoration, left bisque leg imperceptibly restored. Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1866. Value Points: outstanding Huret poupee with artfully achieved classic dreamy expression, rare body with fine articulation.
