17" (43 cm). Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes having heavily modeled eyelids, lightly feathered lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, gutta percha body based upon original Huret patent model with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Medaille d'Argent Huret 12 Boulevard Montmartre Paris Exposition Universelle 1867 (torso stamp). Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1860. Value Points: a stunningly beautiful model of the signature French poupee whose delicate bisque contrasts the dreamy-lidded eyes, having original rare body in fine sturdy condition, antique costume that may be original, undergarments, leather ankle boots signed C.C.
