Description
20" (51 cm). Pink-tinted bisque socket head with
solid dome, sculpted boyish hair with incised
curls, over-sized well-modeled ears, dark blue
intaglio eyes with white eyedots, incised and
brown upper eyeliner, one stroke brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with
shaded dimpled lips, two porcelain teeth,
Sonneberg composition and wooden fully jointed
slender body, sailor costume. Condition:
generally excellent, some body repaint. Marks:
Heubach (sunburst) Germany 7 7620. Comments:
Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points:
wonderfully modeled cheek, chin and lip dimples
enhanced by choicest bisque and painting.
