Description
17" (43 cm). Bisque shoulderhead with elongated
throat, brown sculpted hair arranged in braided
coronet with delicate curls at the forehead and
long cascading curls onto the side and back
shoulders, painted facial features, blue eyes,
red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke
brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with
center accent line on lips, pierced ears, muslin
body, bisque limbs, ivory brocade costume.
Condition: generally excellent, fingers chipped
off on right hand. Comments: Germany, circa 1870.
Value Points: rare brown hair in unusual
coiffure, pierced ears, and wonderful sculpted
and painted jewelry comprising shaded neck ribbon
from which is suspended a gilt and blue brooch.
