Description
15"L (38 cm) dogs, 30" (76 cm) overall. A pair of
paper mache dogs with hide cover, glass eyes,
leather harnesses are mounted upon a platform
with two large spoked metal wheels centered by a
leather covered bellows. A wooden handle attaches
to the metal platform, and when the dogs are
pushed along they appear to be racing, the
bellows cries, and their bodies bob up and down.
A rare 19th century toy, probably French, is
nicely preserved original condition.
