Description
20" (51 cm). Solid domed bisque socket head with
sculpted hair in loosely waved forelock curl,
very narrow blue glass inset eyes with deeply
furrowed frown lines, single stroke brows,
accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though
open in woeful expression, modeled tongue, row of
upper teeth, two modeled lower teeth, French
composition and wooden fully jointed body.
Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 233
Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912, from their
200 character series. Value Points: rare model
with artfully sculpted character features, fine
quality bisque, wearing antique gentleman's
evening suit and tophat.
