Description
15" (38 cm). Wax over paper mache shoulderhead
portraying adult lady with slender face,
elongated throat with defined throat hollow,
modeled bosom, sculpted upper rim of chemise,
modeled grey cap with blue and black borders and
sculpted feather, above blonde mohair arranged
curls, painted tiny blue eyes, feathered brows,
aquiline nose, closed mouth, muslin stitch-
jointed body, leather arms, antique silk gown,
undergarments. Condition: generally excellent,
typical light wax lines. Comments: circa 1880.
