31" (79 cm.) x 39" framed. A classic still-life vignette is arranged on a table, featuring two early dolls by Kathe Kruse in their original country costumes, standing alongside a vibrant arrangement of sunflowers and other brilliant fall flowers. The costumes are well-detailed including fabric designs and trims. The painting is signed Ritta Boehm. From the series of oil paintings by the Hungarian-born artist (1868-1948) featuring the early dolls of Kathe Kruse. This particular example from the rarely-found series is notable for its vibrant colors and rich textures, very fine quality of frame. Excellent condition. Ritta Boehm, circa 1915.
