Description
28" (71 cm). Bisque socket head with deeply
sculpted boyish brown hair swept across forehead,
thickly incised brushstrokes overall the hair,
blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles
the eyecuts, painted lashes, incised eyeliner,
brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented
nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, shaded and
accented lips, two porcelain upper teeth, tongue,
composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed
body, antique costume comprising woolen jacket,
striped knickers, saddle ankle boots. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: K made in Germany
267/60 (script letters). Comments: attributed to
Kestner, circa 1915. Value Points: very rare
model enhanced by superb quality of sculpting,
finest quality bisque and painting, fine large
size, original body and body finish.
