Description
9"Ð12" (23Ð30 cm). Each has composition head with painted facial features to portray the various storybook figures, with sculpted hair or hat, distinctive features such as beards, hair ribbons, or witch's wart. Each puppet has composition torso, hands and feet, and loosely- jointed limbs to allow puppet articulation. Excellent condition with some minor light crazing. Marks: Madame Alexander New York (costumes, with name of each figure). Each of the Dwarves, Snow White and Wicked Stepmother wear original Alexander factory costumes, with original puppet strings and wooden handles. Included is one box with original label "Walt Disney's Marionettes, Alexander Doll Co." The marionettes were designed by Tony Sarg for Alexander, circa 1940.
